Darrian, Thank you for sharing your recent experience that highlights the reality of stepping into what God has called us to do—namely, confronting the fears within. Courage isn't the absence of fear, but rather the willingness to confront it in the strength and might of God's Spirit that dwells within us! So whether you are trying to "muster" up the courage to share Christ with a fellow hallmates in your dorm or preparing to share your testimony in the large group meeting at the request of your campus leader, don't get down on yourself if you "feel" nervous or somewhat intimidated. That is normal. Yet, don't allow these things to keep you from doing what God has put in your heart, and allow the Spirit of God to use the process of confronting such fears to develop the bedrock of Christlikeness in you! Darren that was profound. You know growing up in the church we couldn't discuss those things so we had to learn on our own. It is definately a blessing to be able to minister to young people because if we don't do it who will. This is our future and a lot of them do not fear God, let alone trust him. The bible says to train up a child in the way that they should go and they will not depart from it. We see that is true for us because we certainly have the roots, but to know God for yourself is certainly a joy in itself. Keep on doing the work of the lord and you will reap the benifits of God, through your marriage, your children, you job and your finance. I claim that for you in the name of Jesus. Thanks for sharing
