Presenters: Rosalind Picard, Founder and Director of the Affective Computing Research Group, MIT Media Laboratory
What makes us human? Dr. Picard will be speaking on the nature of humanity as it relates to the future of robotics. She will be addressing such questions as: “Are humans just biological robots?”, “Can robots experience emotion?”, and “Can we prescribe ethics to robots?”. Within these questions, Picard will speak about what it means to be a Christian and a scientist, and how Jesus bears upon her work.
